Kumasi Nursing And Midwifery Training School
The Kumasi Nursing and Midwifery Training College is a state tertiary healthcare facility in Kumasi, Ghana’s Ashanti Region. It was formerly known as the Kumasi Nurses’ Training College. The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly includes the college. The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi is where the school is situated.
The Kumasi Church’s Medical Mission Sisters created the Kumasi Nursing and Midwifery Training College in 1957. The nursing and midwifery Basic Diploma Programmes are also offered by the institution.
The institution offers high-grade theoretical and practical study in all areas of diploma-standard general nursing and midwifery and is affiliated with the second-largest health facility in the nation. The Ministry of Health oversees the institution’s operations.
After college students successfully complete a three-year training curriculum, the college now grants straight diplomas in nursing and midwifery. The National Accreditation Board has granted the institution accreditation.
The primary organisation that oversees the school’s activities, curriculum, and exams is the Nurses and Midwifery Council (NMC).
